the 2023 Stockadeathon rushed through the Stockade

lastdogThe entire corps of runners in this year’s MVP Health Care Stockadeathon passed by me in just under ten minutes on the Washington Avenue block of the Stockade district, between Union and Front Streets. It was less than a mile into the 15K race. Below are the lead car with a view of the block, and the first and last groups of runners (plus, on the right, a close-up of the last dog). . . . Over the next few hours [11 AM through the afternoon], I will be choosing and editing photos of the runners in between.

As usual, ARE EVENT PRODUCTIONS has compiled Race results and presented them online on highly useful website pages.

  • All AWARD WINNERS can be found at the ARE EVENTS site.
  • RESULTS for the 1150 runners who finished the Race are also presented in order of their finishing; and
  • the spread sheets are FULLY SEARCHABLE, by name, BIB number, time, and division.

As we have come to expect, the top award winners reach the finish line in virtually the same order as they ran through the Stockade, and past my camera, too, on Washington Avenue (and Cucumber Alley).

The top three Female Open Overall Winners were: #1 Lianne Farber [BIB 15, from Boston], #2 Karen Bertasso Hughes [BIB 1, from Selkirk], and #3 Nicole Moslander [BIB 28, of Schenectady].

A Note from the Editor: Other pressing duties have reduced my ability to spotlight favorite images. I will try to add some as this week progresses.  Thanks for your patience. And, thanks to all whose efforts make the Race special.
